About The Band

“Reflections” was formed by its present leader, Paul Bastone, in the Spring of 1999 as a division of the Rockland County Concert Band. Most of the musicians play in the concert band but also have a love of Big Band music in addition to the more “legitimate” forms usually played by the concert organization. We rehearse weekly and perform regularly throughout the year. The members of the band are all volunteers who receive no salary but are rewarded by the good feeling they get from performing for diverse audiences and the knowledge that they are helping to preserve the Big Band sound. Their dedication is further bolstered by the applause and verbal appreciation they receive from their audiences. We welcome your suggestions so please don’t hesitate to drop us an email at contact@reflections109.org or a snail-mail to 67 S. Lilburn Dr, Garnerville, NY 10923.

Special thanks are extended to Verizon Communications, Exxon Mobil, and Bank of America for granting the organization funds to purchase music, the United Church of Spring Valley for the rehearsal space they provide, and the Rockland Community College Administration for providing a wonderful performance space.

“Reflections” is available to play for organizations, government functions, town concerts etc. Since its inception, the band has performed concerts sponsored by the Pearl River Public Library, Town of Haverstraw, the Nanuet Public Library, Suffern Recreation Dept., Helen Hayes Rehabilitation Hospital, Village of Greenwood Lake, Hillsdale Public Library, Village of Montebello, Meals On Wheels, Sunrise Assisted Living, Col. Robert Yeager Health Center, Mendham Golf & Tennis Club, Congregation Shomrei Emunah, and the Rockland Family Shelter.

Tax deductible donations, used to purchase music and maintain equipment, are always welcome and may be sent to: Rockland County Concert Band Inc. – “Reflections” at 67 South Lilburn Drive, Garnerville, New York 10923.
